We joined GYSA this spring. It has been so much fun. Paisley has the energy to play and run for hours so we thought this would be a good thing for her to "tire" her out. She has done really well. She has picked up the game really fast. We are very proud. She also gets to play with her cousin Lucy which makes it a million times better. I have enjoyed going to practice and hanging out with the Wheeler family.

In July both my sissy's had milestone birthday's this year. Shelby 40 and Nikkii 30-its actually the other way around Shelby is 30 and Nikkii is 40, but if you know them you would understand what I mean by that. (ha ha ha) Needless to say these birthdays brought a lot of fun.

For Shelby's 30th I was lucky enough to be invited by her in-laws to Las Vegas for a girls weekend. I had a great time and those Matson girls know how to do Vegas. Fine dining, shopping and an afternoon by the pool. So much fun. Thanks Linda for being a Harrah's VIP!!

Then the Wheeler side we decided to do a girls night at a hotel in Scottsdale and shop some more. We have serious shopping issues I know. We also waited for this weekend to see Eclipse. We have all read the books and were excited to see it. It was really good. Kristin wanted a serious discussion about the movie and whose side (Edward or Jacob) we were on. It was pretty funny. We ate alot and laughed even more. It was perfect. Thanks mom for spoiling all of us and teaching us how to shop.

Paisley was asked to be the flower girl in Nikki's wedding. She was so excited... Her first request was high heels. (Seriously???) I feel there is something a little cheesy about an 8 year-old wearing high heels. Maybe I just don't want her to be "that" grown-up yet. When picking out her dress (in January) I was really worried about a growth spurt since the wedding wasn't until August so I made her try on dresses that were a little too big. I loved her modest and concern about showing too much skin. I feel she is on the right path. Hopefully... Anyway after a dozen of dresses she found the one that she was most adorable and comfortable in.. So come wedding day she looked so grown up (bah hah wah wah wah) and beautiful. In my opinion she was the PERFECT flower girl. She was so nervous about how to walk and throw the petals down. We even had to have a few practice walks. Its was alot of pressure, but she shined. By reception time pressure was off and my girl was ready to dance. I requested Justin Bieber and she let go with her Great Uncle Wayne (Love Him). I hate to see her growing up so fast. I think I will hold off on the high heels a few more years. And no make-up until she is 30!!!

We are back....

It has been over a year since my last post.

The past year has had a lot of ups and downs. Mostly downs. Layoffs more than one. Having to intrude in-laws for what felt like a year. Car issues. Not as much family time as we should have had. I can go on and on, but rather put the bad behind.

The ups...

A new rental. Small and cozy, but perfect for our little family.

Parents that loan vehicles.

Tony working as a plumber-creating his own destiny (as he puts it-but hopefully not much longer).

I am working part-time at the place I have been off since the last big layoff, as well as part-time at Hamilton High School food court cashier. It may not see like the dream job to most, but I am the happiest there I have been ever. Its fast pace, active hard work and I love, love, love my co-workers. Plus the perks of time off with fall, winter and spring breaks. Its the greatest.

Paisley is 8 now and the greatest girl ever. She is in the third grade and is doing really well in school. She is obsessed with Justin Bieber (what little girl isn't), loves to play soccer, dance, color, write music and sing. We are blessed.

New brother-in-law, Tony's little sister Nikki got married to Adam. At the wedding we were able to see a lot of family that Paisley and I had never met. Family that Tony had not seen in over 10 years. It was great.

So life is good. Hopefully on track of becoming even better.

First Day of School.

First day of 2nd grade (CRAZY!!) I missed taking her this year because of work. I was so sad because I have always been there. This year its a new school and I wanted to be there and comfort her. Tony was able to go-it was his first time. She is going to school with Max and Ben so Nik and Shelby were there too. She got a new bike for her birthday so they all got to ride their bikes. Paisley's bike is a little big and we made the mistake of putting her in a skirt. Luckily she had some little stretch shorts on underneath. Shelby hiked up her skirt after she fell about 3 times. I can already tell this is going to be a fun year. Nik is so active with the school so she will help me get involved in the school function. She looked so cute. She loved her first day and is already fitting in great. Can't wait for soccer and t-ball!

What more can I say about this magical place?? A week in CA is the absolute best. Whatever worry or stress I may be going through disappears when I am here. It has been a couple of years since we have all gone as a family. The 6 year olds (Paisley, Lucy, Ben, Soren and Thane) are older and easier. So this year was really enjoyable. We had one cloudy day and the rest was perfect. Each time we go we eat so good. Every family creates a meal. This year we celebrated Father's Day. It was so nice. We took Paisley to Sea World. It was fun. A little pricey for my liking, but Shamu was so neat. We went twice with our tickets. It is so nice to just relax and spend time with family. We laugh, we cry, we eat and we have fun what more can you ask for. Not sure we will go again next year, but I hope. A break from reality is the best. This year Ty took all the pictures. He really captured some great moments. I love this place.

Thanks for the escape. The weather was fantastic. The company was wonderful. We love you. Can't wait for the next time.

Summer Days!

This summer Paisley has done so much. She was in swim lessons with Aunt Nikkii. She now knows how to do the chicken-star-rocket, butterfly, dolphin, freestyle, breaststroke, and she made me say this the frog stroke. A stroke she made up on her own. She read 20 books. She went to the movies every Wednesday. She went to the zoo. She went to Sunsplash, Big Surf and Basha pool. She had numerous sleepovers. She got to go to football camp in Showlow for the day and practice with the football players. She had a week in San Diego. She had a photo session with Uncle Matt. She met new friends and TP'd her first house. Seriously could she be any more spoiled. Thank you for everyone who contributed to the greatest summer ever.

So much has happened this summer. I haven't had the chance to blog. The biggest news is that Tony was laid off again in June. It has been rough. We continue to manage thanks to our wonderful families. Its a tough economy especially the job market. I am so greatful to have a job that is doing well and is not effected by the mess going on in the world. As a result we are moving closer into town. The next few months we are going to stay with Tony's mom who is also struggling. We will help each other. We have enrolled Paisley into school with her cousins Max and Ben. Nikkii has taken Paisley as if she was her own. She might even let me go to Parent/Teacher conference. I am so thankful for my sisters who have stepped up and helped with Paisley. Paisley had the best summer E-V-E-R!! Thanks to them. OK so I will be posting a few things that made us happy over the last couple months:)

AH! My sister Nikkii! Boy do I love you! You are my funniest, craziest, silliest sister. There is not a day when we are together that you don't make me laugh. Some of the things you ask are so off the wall it is hilarious. Its those moments I enjoy the most. Like when you asked me if I had my first period after Paisley was born. Or the many different ways you spell my name-none ever correct. I love that you steal coffee beans and sniff them all day. I love that you are such an awesome mom/teacher/volunteer. I love that you ran all the way from Prescott to Mesa-you are so inspirational. You are so creative and talented. You have taught all the kids in the family to read they all love Miss Nikkii. You have been through so much and remain as strong as ever. You work harder than anyone I know-well maybe you are neck and neck with dad. I love that you can translate for all of our garage sales. Ok! I am the worst aunt ever. First because I am 3 days late and second because I have no recent pictures of Max so I had to steal them off of Nik's blog. Max is such a sweetie. He use to ask me if I was having a baby when I wasn't even pregnant-it wouldn't even break my heart because he was really excited for me. My favorite memory of Max was when he was 3 and I was pregnant with Paisley. I would have to get him off the bus-he was so small you wouldn't even know he was on it. He would run off the bus and would be so happy to see me. Now he is older and all I get is a "Hi Lindsey!" I am not cool anymore, but he still is that same sweet boy. He will always be. I work insane hours so im too sleepy to take pictures or type anything. paisley is out of school next week so hopefully a vacation will snap me out of this dry spell. in the mean time i have missed a few birthdays. The Wheeler twins, baby Liam and Sage-all of them are Damon and Colleen's children.

First baby Liam-I hardly know you, but already can tell we will have a special bond. After all my crazy red hair made you smile-or my silly face. I can't wait to bond with you in CA in a few weeks while your parents nap. I plan to steal and walk on the beach. It will be fun-I promise. Welcome to the family!

How perfect is it that this guys birthday is on FRIDAY the 13th! Benton Blonde is 6 tomorrow. Where should I begin with this boy. He is a riot. He says the funniest things that can make me laugh for weeks. There are so many things that we love about Ben. He is super smart-thanks to his mom a great teacher and 5 years of pre-school, he is obsessed with cars, he can take me anytime in wii tennis. Last weekend we were able to spend a little time with Tony's dad and step-mom. It had been a while since the last time we saw him. I think Paisley was around 2. It was also the first time she and I met his step-mom Sonya. They live in beautiful Seattle so it was great to see them and catch up. I think they miss the Arizona sunshine. Tony's sisters Nikki and Beth along with Beth's family stayed the weekend with us. We had a nice time. His dad went to cooking school so I made Tony cook dinner. I couldn't handle the pressure. Everything turned out great and we can't wait for the next visit. Hopefully we will be going to WA. Below are a few photos.

Happy Birthday Lucy! Today Lucy turns 6-finally! Paisley has been waiting for this day for a while. Lucy is Paisley's best friend. She is such a neat girl. She is so girly and yet such a tomboy. Yesterday was my aunt Cathy's birthday! I didn't get a chance to post her birthday blog so here we go a day late. I will just mention a few of the many things I love so much about my aunt. First and foremost she is my favorite aunt and I know I am her favorite niece after all we share the name Cathryn. She is hilarious and has the best sense of humor. My favorite memory is her trying to sell personal items at a garage sale we had. She marks the items slightly below what she paid for them and walks away with no sales. She is so beautiful, so kind and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She is a very hard worker and cleans like a maniac. I was lucky enough to live near her and she helped me with so many things. I miss seeing her as ofter as I use to. Paisley loves her just as much as I do and calls her Grandma Cathy. Cathy the Teele family loves you dearly and hope you have a wonderful birthday!!

a couple months ago a friend of mine had a birthday party at skateland. she acutally rented out skateland. isn't that so cool. this is the skateland that i went to in elementary school where i first hoped about becoming a rythm skater in stark white skates. well that dream never became a reality, but i was able to relive some old memories. it was a dress up party and both shelby and i had a blast. i don't remember falling so much when i was younger. i fell on my way to the bathroom and seriously injured my tail bone and almost wet my pants. it hurt for a couple days, but the fun was worth it.

Its been a long couple of months...

I love Christmas and I love decorating my house for the season. Even though the decorating is done it this year it has felt different. I must admit we have had a rough start this holiday season. The economy is bad even though I love the gas prices. The weather never feels like Christmas in Arizona. This year we don't have our stainless steel mantle to hang our stockings from-boy do we miss our little masterpiece. To top it all Tony was laid off from work a couple weeks ago. With all this going on I can honestly tell you I am not feeling it. Not to sound like Scrooge-It is kind of nice not to get wrapped up in the stress of the season. Most Christmas's its more stressful than joyful. This year I am just so thankful to have a my wonderful family. Tony and I have spent more time together the last couple weeks than I think we have in the last 6 years of our marriage. It has been so nice. His phone isn't ringing off the hook. Ha Ha-he doesn't even have a phone. He has been able to walk Paisley to the bus stop. He even volunteered in her class. So what if there is nothing under our tree. We got each other and that is the best gift of all. This Christmas count your blessings. I love my family!

Our family has started a new tradition of going to the rim the day after Thanksgiving to get cut down our Christmas tree. We had so much fun playing in the snow. OK-maybe not so much fun it was cold, the kids got wet, Thane got sick and poor Kristin was stuck baby-sitting for like 2 hours. We are bad to leave her alone with all the kids. I am so sorry Kristin. I promise a full night of baby-sitting whenever you want. So this year I needed a skinny tree to fit in a large corner of my house. Nik has an eye for picking our trees so I was in love when she spotted our tree. Tall and skinny just like Paisley. We were the first to pick our tree. It is so hard to find a good tree so about 3 hours later the remainder of the trees were selected. We loaded up the trailer and headed back to town. One by one as we unloaded each individual tree I thought WOW! They all picked out large and full trees. Our tree was one of the last trees since we live in Queen Creek. When my dad pulled out our tree my mom about peed her pants. Here we have this stick with a few twigs. It looked nothing like it looked in the forest. The next morning we took a better look at and decided it looked too much like a Charlie Brown Xmas tree. So we put up my tall and skinny fake tree. I love my fake tree. I feel awful we cut down a tree so if anyone knows of someone that likes sparse trees it is in our garage sitting in water waiting for a home. If we don't have someone to claim it we will make a wreath and put the rest in our fire pit. I know so cruel. Here are a few photos from the day and of our tree.

NORTH DAKOTA

We had such a great time in North Dakota-it is sad to be back home dealing with reality. You know when you look forward to something for so long that once it is over you are left feeling a little sad. I go through this with everything that brings happiness to our family-vacations, birthdays and any other kind of special event. (Beware-for journal purposes this post will be very long)

OK-so on to our trip. The first day was mostly travel. We woke up around 4am at my mother-in-laws. We had to be up before her and Nicole, but Tony's cellphone alarm woke the whole house. Mom-in-law was soon up blaring the radio reminded me of something my mom would do. We checked in everything went smoothly. I was a little nervous to fly. Most flights I have taken are less than an hour so our flight to Denver was close to 2 hours. We flew in a larger plane that seated the three of us on one side. Paisley was really excited so we let her sit by the window on the way to Denver. She loved it. Her hair was full of static. It was pretty funny. Once we got into Denver we had to find our connecting flight. We came in on gate B12 and had to go to B90. Denver airport is no joke. It is the biggest airport I have ever been in-seriously. We had an hour and it took us a good 30 minutes to get to our gate. The fun part is that they had those rolling walk-ways. Paisley was funny she kept saying is this flight going to take us to Flagdale instead of saying Fargo. Our flight to Fargo was in a 50 passenger Express Jet. I was a little freaked out. I can get a little claustrophobic. The flight to Fargo was pretty-most of what we flew over was covered in snow. The scary part was that it was very bumpy. I thought we were going to die-most of the hour and half flight. Paisley and Tony slept through most of it.

Once in Fargo we were anxiously greeted by Grandma & Grandpa LeMier, Aunt Margie, Aunt Carol and Aunt Julie. (Tony's aunts-Paisley's great aunts). It had been 5 years since we had last seen them. They all looked great. Especially Margie with her Hawaiian tan. We waited a short time for mom and Nicole then we headed to Margie's. I can't forget to mention the walk to the car was a little more than I had expected. It was FREEZING! I don't remember the temperature, but it made my eyes water. We had light clothes on the plane so when we got to Margie's we pulled out the heavier stuff. Fargo is a big city with a small town feel. Buildings aren't crammed in like they are here. Everything is spaced out. The houses are cute and there is a lot of farm land. Most houses have basements. We stayed at Margie's and Paul's we got the whole basement to ourselves-very nice. So our first 1/2 day we just spent time catching up. For dinner the rest of the family came. Tony's younger Uncle Wayne , his wife Chelle and their two kids Molly and Bobby. Tony's uncle Ted, his wife Sue and their four kids-Alex, the twins and Danielle. Tony's uncle Paul and his girlfriend Trina. We had some yummy soup and an apple crisp grandma made. Day two we went to a few crafts stores. Tony's mom has recently taken up quilting. She is awesome at it so we had to find some Scandinavian fabric. Uftda! The money she spent there. I thought we were going to have to stage an intervention. In her defense-the quilts she creates are priceless. That night we had dinner with ALL the family and then we headed to a bar to watch Ted and Wayne play a wicked game of darts. It was fun. After the game Tony and I played. I hope I didn't ruin Ted's because I was awful. Sorry Sue for having to be on my team.

Friday was all about the reception. We took it easy that day because we knew it was going to be a long fun night. Margie was so kind to book us a room at the Raddison. The Raddison is where the reception was being held. Our room was beautiful-contemporary-just my style. We lounged around in our room and headed down to the party. The theme was Hawaiian (they got married in Hawaii the week before). They decorated the tables so neat. They had some tables with the vases filled fish and seashells. The others were filled with drenched Hawaiian flowers. B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!! Dinner was delicious as we ate we got to see the video of the ceremony in Hawaii and a slide show of the couple from childhood to adulthood. After dinner came the dancing. Ted-Tony's uncle was the DJ! Let me just say. PARTY TIME! Paisley-well Paisley is a spaz to begin with, but put her on the dance floor and she is a complete maniac. She had the best time. She experienced her first dance with a boy (her cousin), she got to dance the electric slide, the Cha Cha, the chicken dance-she even managed to throw in her robot dance. I loved watching her. Do you know that little crazy girl even caught the bouquet. Luckily she traded it to Auntie Nicole for a few seashell and chocolates. Amber looked beautiful-she is tiny and tan-can't get any better than that. Eric was very handsome of course. We had a great time. Paisley and I headed in a little earlier than the rest. We were exhausted and went to sleep very happy. We are so happy to be part of such a great time.

OK-This is turning out to be really long so I will make the remainder a the trip short and sweet. Saturday we went to Great Grandma and Grandpa LeMier. We watched a little college football and took a walk. It was freezing so the walk didn't last long. That night Nicole and I cooked dinner. It was a disaster. I was so embarrassed. I have learned my lesson-don't cook anything that I am not an expert at for a large number of people. The end:) Sunday we drove out to Oakes where Glenn's farm is. It is about a 2 hour drive from Fargo. Very pretty drive. Uncle Glenn's farm is amazing. He has mini-horses, cow, elk, donkey and even a goat to keep out the coyotes. Paisley got to see a 30 minute old baby calf. She also got to drive in the tractor to feed the cows. It was a fun time. I especially liked taking the photos of the elk for my dad and Ty to see. Monday we went Sheels the worlds largest Sporting Store. It has a Ferris wheel and even wax molds of the former presidents it was a really neat store. We also went to the mall (yes I know all malls are the same, but I have to see every one of them to believe it). Lastly we went to the Hjemkomst Center it is a76-foot exact replica of a Viking ship. It was so interesting to see and learn about this guy who followed his dream. At the Hjemkomst Center they also had a Hopperstad Stave Church Replica. It is an "all" wood church. It was beautiful and very humbling at the same time. I loved it. That night we had our last dinner with the family. Gooey Buns-a very yummy dinner that Paisley helped make. We got to eat leftover wedding cake and play "Catch-a-phrase" it was a blast. After all the fun we had to say our goodbye to most of the family. We really enjoyed spending time with all of them. A little after everyone left we got to hang out with the twins (Amber and Ryan) at TGIF. We laughed alot and played some games. It was fun to spend some time with them they made Tony and I feel old they are so young (we miss those days). Then came Tuesday-our day to leave. It was the coldest day of the trip. I have no idea what the temperature was, but it hurt it was so cold. It was sad that we had to leave. Even though we were excited to see our Arizona family we were sad to leave our North Dakota family. We had the best time and really enjoyed spending time with each and everyone in the family. Once we got in the airport Paisley was devastated. She lost it on the plane. She was already missing Margie.

Thank you to everyone in North Dakota for being so welcoming. Margie-thank you for EVERYTHING! You took such great care of us-We cannot express how much fun we had. Paisley loves you so much. She continues to talk about you daily. Thank you to my mom for helping us get ready and be prepared for the cold. We love you. Thank you grandma Teele for taking us everywhere the day before and letting us sleep in your comfortable bed. We had a blast. Love you all.

This girl and I have been BFF's since the 6th grade. She use to do my school work so we could play during class time. That is great friend if you ask me. We are anxiously getting ready to head to North Dakota for Tony's cousins wedding. Both Paisley and I will get to meet some of Tony's family for the first time. We are very excited. We have been looking at the forecast and it is going to be very COLD! As an Arizona native cold for me is 50 degrees-Tony doesn't think I have experienced "real" cold. We can't wait to bundle up and hopefully get a photo to put in our Christmas cards . Yippy! Hoping to see fall colors. This will be Paisley's first flight. One of my favorite little niece's turns 1 today. I love this little girl. She is a feisty little thing. She pulls her sister's hair, never lets us put her down, climbs up the stairs after we say not to, then falls down the stairs, wrestles her sisters, eats dog food, throws food, and has us all wrapped around her little finger. We got a call from Mrs. G. the other night saying that Paisley has made Principle's Honor Roll. I think it's just short of the Honor Roll. (She got A's in everything, but writing) We are so proud of her. Shelby was kind enough to take me to the ceremony since my car wasn't working. Paisley was very excited. Once she got home we had a little celebration for all of her hard work. We are working hard to make Honor Roll for next time around. Way to go Paisley!!!

California Dreamin...

The first weekend of October my sisters and sister-in-laws surprised my mom for her 60th with a trip. It was a huge surprise that we had been planning for close to a year. I mean she is 60 how wonderful is that. So we had to celebrate and celebrate BIG!! We planned a short weekend in San Diego one of her favorite places. There were so many wonderful things that happened, but since I am not the best at writing I am going share some of the highlights of the trip.

Calling my mom at 2:30am the morning of and telling her she has an hour to get ready. Pack a bag and don't ask any questions.
Kristin being so kind to drive us on no sleep-then calling it quits outside of Maricopa.
No Kids-even though mom was so sad they weren't with us. Seriously she talked about it the whole drive there. I think she forgot she had daughters.
I slept in the car most of the way there, but I know the rest of the ladies got some good talking in.
Once in San Diego just the happiness we felt. The weather was wonderful, the beaches were quiet.
Shopping-more than once and so nice without chasing after children. Hmm Chloey!
Eating pretty much when and whatever we wanted.
Walking on the board walk.
Laughing-it was great to hear stories about my brothers from Kristin and Colleen they had us running to the bathroom more than once.
A $25 shopping contest to see who could find the best shirt or outfit. Then we had to model it in a fashion show. Colleen walked away with an entire outfit. Nikkii flashed all of us. Kristin and Shelby dressed up in my moms clothes. And of course ME WALKING AWAY AS THE WINNER:)

It was F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!! Thank you to our husbands for taking care of the kids. We needed the break and so appreciate all you do for us. I missed both Paisley and Tony so much. When I got home they had flowers and balloons for me along with a few dozen pictures Paisley had created for me. I am so loved. Thanks to my sisters and my mom. I love you all so much. One of the many great things about living in QC is the schools have a year-round schedule. Just last week Paisley returned to school after 2 weeks off. Yes 2 weeks!! A few things she loved during her break was sleeping in, playing with her cousins, sleepovers @ Shelby's, getting to wear make-up, playing in the water playground @ San Tan Mall and writing letters. Reunion

A few weekends ago we had the chance to get away for the day for a family reunion. Our cousin's (mom's side) the Hunsaker's have a cabin a little outside of Payson. My mom and dad rented a 15 seat passenger van and we ALL loaded up. All 16 of us. Yes-it was crowded. Luckily for me I get car sick and got to sit closer to the front. The drive there was horrid, but worth it once we got there. There were games, cool weather and tons of good food. Worthy enough to blow my diet. This has been a tradition for as long as I can remember. Getting together with family, eating, laughing and reminiscing. My Grandma Lively isn't around anymore, but I get to see her through the rest of the family. Especially in Uncle Alec and Tawny. They loved her so much. She is definitely missed. This year we had a pinata. Paisley was up to bat and knocked the body off leaving only a head. I think she has a future in softball if she chooses to skip beauty school;) There was also the famous money toss. Uncle Alec would throw handfuls of loose change into the air and all the kids scatter to pick it up. I know for a fact that I never collected as much money as Paisley had in her hands. It was a great day. We loaded up and got to drive back in the rain with a dozen of sleeping kids. It was a beautiful thing. I can't wait til next year. Maybe without the passenger van.

Today Keane turns 3! This little guy has had my heart since the first day I laid eyes on him. Is it possible for a 3 year old to be a stud? He is total boy. He loves everything from bugs, to snakes and frogs. He especially loves dinosaurs. I wish he was my own - maybe its because he was a birthday gift to me from Ty & Kris and I like to think he is all mine:) We love Keane very much and are so happy he is in our family. Yesterday Paisley ran downstairs and asked if she could have a pick that she found. I said yes and she was so so so excited. She showed me what she could do with her new pick. She started to backcomb her hair. Most of you know my mom has an addiction to backcombing. It has been passed onto Nikkii and Shelby. Me not so much-I can't get it to stay in long enough. I did backcomb her hair a tiny bit for school pictures. She didn't look like a pageant girl I swear. Anyway I thought new talent was as funny so I had to get it on video. It was funnier at the moment so sorry if this doesn't make you laugh:)

Labor Day Weekend!

We got a special treat for our Labor Day weekend. The Clarkson family was so nice to let us stay at their cabin in Greer. It is such a beautiful cabin the Clarkson family did such a great job on it. The weather was PERFECT. The kids had a blast. The adults had just as much fun.

I am ready for fall. It is by far my favorite season. There is something in the air that feels so familiar and comfortable. It is the start football season and pulling out the winter clothes. It starts to get darker earlier and mornings are fresh and cool. Halloween and Thanksgiving are around the corner. Overall everyone just seems happy to have made it through another Arizona summer. I love this season.

This weekend we had Paisley's 1st slumber party. I think the girls had fun. I know Paisley did. We had about 8 girls and 1 boy. The one boy was my nephew Bennie. He is alot of fun so he had to come. We danced, did a craft project, ate a bunch of junk, played dress up, watched a movie, played the Wii, ate some more junk and passed out. I want to thank my mom and sister Shelby for helping. It got a little crazy at times, but overall a great time. (Keep in mind it is 4 days after) Thanks to all the girls that came and their parents for the nice gifts. Paisley is really spoiled, but she deserves it. At least Tony and I think so. Here are some photos from the night.

Saturday Paisley turned 6. Her party is not until Friday, but we still wanted to make it a special day. We made her chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast and headed to Basha pool. The pool is like a mini Sunsplash. We had a lot of fun. Her dinner request for the night was Chinese food. We were lucky to have my parents, Shelby, Marlee and Chloey over to help spoil her even more with presents and cupcakes. It's time! I have to change! There are no quick fixes. It has taken a while for me to get to this state. The results I want will not come overnight, in a few days or even a couple weeks. I was told something by my trainer (my brother Damon) " There are no quick fixes. You will get results, but it is according to the Law of the Harvest. Like a farmer, who plants in the spring, his crop comes in a season. The challenge is to accept the season when it comes and not immediately. IT TAKES TIME." I have to do this-not only for myself, but for my family. My future depends on it. I have never felt so motivated before. I have never felt like I have had such control over my life before. It is up to me and I am going to do it!

First Day of School...

Yesterday was Paisley's first day of school. She is in the first grade this year. I can't believe how fast she is growing up. She didn't get a very long summer break. Queen Creek is year round school so she is starting a few weeks before her friends and cousins. This is also the first year she will be going on the bus. I was so nervous. I put her on the bus and quickly drove to the school to show her where she should go everyday once she got off the bus. I was a mess all day. Worrying if she gave her teacher her lunch money. Wondering if they would put her on the right bus to go home. Everything turned out great all that stress for nothing. I have to let go sometime.

Well I have decided to join the blog world. I think this will be a good way to keep everyone up to date on what's happening with our family. I am excited to get started and learn more about blogging. Right now we are living in Queen Creek. Its far from the rest of the world, but is turning out to be really nice. I am doing some design work from home and Tony is still with American Drain. Paisley is 5 and such a wonderful daughter. We are a very blessed family.
